Q4: Documentation is vague as how to upgrade environments, as conda update anaconda seems to only apply to the Root Python 2.7 installation, or am I missing something? Do you have to delete the existing environemnt then reinstall a newer version? As I cannot uopgrade my environments it may explain why I cannot install Rstudio or a Python 3.6 environment. There seems to be a download issue with the new conda / Anaconda versions? Q3: I tried to install a new Python 3.6 environment using Navigator and this started OK but hung and the environment was empty of packages. I tried with anti-virus off but still not working. No error message this time but the downloads just hang, with no error messages given. Q2: Next i moved to my Python 3.5 environment using Navigator to install Rstudio. ( I have a Python 3.5 dedicated environment to run Orange3 with the correct Qt version) Orange3 needs an earlier version of Qt and Python 3. Python 3, supporting environments where builtins have been patched to make Python 3 look more. 5.8 Issue 237 : pkgresources now uses explicit detection of Python 2 vs. Orange 3 is available in the distribution but I have not installed Orange3 as it does not work with Python 2.7 in any case. Issue 258: Setuptools now patches distutils msvc9compiler to recognize the specially-packaged compiler package for easy extension module support on Python 2.6, 2.7, and 3.2. In my Python 2.7 Root environment, Rstudio cannot install as there is an error message that Orange3 conflicts. Q1: Navigator now offers an Rstudio install icon for Root and all environments Which gave n me the latest packages in Python 2.7
